I write Caring Columns once a month for the hospital. July's column was about Randy Pausch and his thoughts about how to live your life. I recommended that people check out his Last Lecture or the Reprise from Oprah (in case they couldn't find the 75 minutes for the entire lecture.) I emailed that column out on Friday, not realizing that he'd died. One of those Mysteries. I'm just grateful he had the time to do what he did. The die-hard cynics probably won't ever get it. They don't seem to realize that is their choice and that choice will likely lead them to actually die hard; not that I'm sure it's ever easy. But I think death, along with life, can be an amazing journey when approached with a Tigger attitude.

Yeah, I was sad to see that he passed away on Friday. During the afternoon, as my officemates worked, we played his entire last lecture in the background to listen to. It's good to listen to every once in a while.

As Randy often alluded to, attitude is everything.

Btw, thanks for the earlier tip on Foxit Reader. I was fed up with Adobe.
