		<description>amen, brother! i&#039;ve felt a slow storm of amazing, extremely creative music slowly moving in over the last few years. while there&#039;s a ton of shit on myspace or virb (okay, virb mostly kicks ass) or wherever, there&#039;s also a lot of gems to be found if you do just a little bit of digging.

in fact, i don&#039;t trust a damn thing the machine of major music media (MTV, Rolling Stone, even iTunes) tells me anymore. i rely almost exclusively on personal recommendations, either straight from someone&#039;s mouth or from their blog or even from amazon&#039;s individual reviews. 

i think that&#039;s incredibly empowering for both the musician and the listener, and that sort of power can be nothing but good for the art. that is, if both parties are willing to work a little harder than they had to when the major record labels spoon-fed a limited amount of music.</description>
